22 Comments on Localism or Listing Router? Which one is more effective?
Thanks for the post. I will look for thw comments for your question.
I had the same question Lanre. I think I will try the outside blog. The last few months I am not getting as much traffic to my website. I am in NC. If you have anyone moving this way call me. I would love to help with a referral. I will do the same for you.
Lanre, thanks for the post. Good question. I'm now lurking and looking at the answers.
Hello Lanre,
Terrific post with qood questions! I'm also doing some research & trying to come with anwsers as well. I've been flogging on Localism and it has brought a lot of hits to my websites. The leads are not coming in as I hoped....I guess it takes time. I'm fairly new at ActiveRain and just started blogging in January. Thank you for for your post!
Rita
Rita-You are very welcome. Hopefully I can get more of the Active Rain Superstars to make comments on this. Thanks for your response.
Gabe-I see that you are using the Listing Router. How is it working for you? Thanks for your response.
Gita-Hey Gita! As usual, thanks for always supporting me.
Kris-I have a Outside Active Rain Blog. I guess I need to upgrade it. Thanks for your response.
Robert-I hope those hits were from home buyers. 50 hits a month is not bad. I want to try Localism but I am not sure if I would get a good return on it. Thanks for your response.
Lanre - since I am a loan officer I would say localism. I have been wondering about the outside blogs though and not sure if I should do.
Lanre - I have to say BOTH! I could leave a Blog Type Comment here, but I'll spare you and will call you instead. I have some ideas I'd like to share that may work well for what you're trying to do.
If you don't here from me tonight, you will tomorrow for sure. I have a webinar at 11:00am on Outside Blogs, but after that I'm available. You can also call me if you like at 707 718-6773.

Hi Larne,
I sponsored a neighborhood on Localism when I first got started, however that proved not to be a good fit for me. I prefer to write content that would appeal to Home Buyers and Sellers versus local happenings. This is where I agree with Bill Gassett, write good content that people want to read. Make it relative to what's happening in your target community or area you like to work. I have two outside blogs, both of which have brought me excellent leads throughout the winter months and the first quarter. One is strictly for Lake Ridge VA Buyers and Sellers the other is a bit broader covering a larger area. Some of our best leads have come from evidence of success style blogging. Tell a story, state the challenges, explain how you solved the challenge and ask if the reader needs assistance. Then make it easy for them to contact you.( use lots of photo's and tag them!)
Just going back and tweaking your profile, and blog descriptions with key search words for who ever you are trying to attract will help you get back on track.
I've never been one to worry about points...my goal is to attract clients.
Peggy James- "Your Neighborhood Realtor" Serving Lake Ridge VA and Woodbridge VA (Erick and Company - Exit 1st Choice Realty)- I agree with you. People are my main priority. They feed me. Though I admit that I really like having a lot of points-They cant pay my bills and put food on my table. Looking forward to your upcoming blog. Thanks for your response. Great post.
