It has been several months now that I have had this blog up and running, and I just wanted to take a minute and reflect upon it. Initially, I started an Active Rain profile hoping that it would increase the profile and google rankings of my LethbridgeLoans.com website. I wrote a few articles about Lethbridge, about Real Estate in Lethbridge, Mortgages in Lethbridge, etc. I figured that it was important to have a mix of business, personal, and community content on the blog. My main website, apart from being a great tool for accepting online mortgage applications, is an online business card.
I have met and helped lots of families with their mortgage and real estate problems thanks to this website.
Recently, I started an outside blog, LethbridgeRealEstateBlog.com, to which I post most of my active rain content, especially the content that is relevant to Real Estate Lethbridge and mortgage broker Lethbridge. I post a little about Lethbridge mortgage rates, real estate listings in Lethbridge, and a few other related topics.
I have to admit, I also have a twitter profile, a facebook page, a blogger account, and a squidoo page. I joined them, posted a bit of Lethbridge real estate and Lethbridge mortgage info and then have pretty much neglected them. I wanted the benefit of the links and the google juice, but really dont have the time or interest in maintaining a half dozen different accounts on different sites.
As much as I enjoy posting here, complaining here, or just ranting about something which messed up my day, the bottomline is that I am a Lethbridge mortgage broker and Lethbridge Realtor who is here to increase my internet exposure and that of my other websites. I need to always keep that in mind. Active Rain is a tool, which if used correctly can increase traffic for targeted keywords such as 'Lethbridge Real Estate' or 'Lethbridge mortgages' or 'lethbridge realtor' or 'lethbridge mortgage broker' and then direct that traffic to my intended outside blog devoted to information on that topic.
