At first, when various sites began "feeding" or sending information to Zillow, we got excited. It seemed it would be less work and save our clients money. Just let your listings automatically "feed" through to Zillow, it seems like it should be so easy. We have found some thorns on this rose since then, and I'm sure others are experiencing the same thing.

Many of our clients have their listings feeding into what Zillow calls "dummy" accounts. These accounts do not have profile photos, links to your website, nothing. You cannot access these accounts, therefore, you cannot change profile information, listing photos or information, etc. This has become a real issue for us and our clients and we have spent countless hours troubleshooting issues with these automatic feeds (incorrect information on listings and more).

This post is not to vent or point the finger at Zillow, but more to ask if anyone else is experiencing the same things and if anyone has been able to find a reasonable solution. If you have, PLEASE SHARE!

We love Zillow and the service it provides, and the bottom line is consumers are using it, so we have to as well. So, if anyone over at Zillow is reading, we would love to talk and try to figure some of these issues out - to make your service better and our lives easier! Feel free to contact me at the number below!

Hi Jen:

One of the agents I work for has a Zillow account. I use Postlets to set up nice ads - that don't seem to show up on our Zillow postings. Sometimes I even have a hard time finding our listings there. Recently they had our two condos as single family homes. I'm not sure I actually have that straightened out yet.

Zillow provides a great service, but sometimes you have to nudge them.

I agree! At least Zillow has customer support! We have had the same issue with some of our clients, their listings sometimes just don't want to go to zillow from postlets. We have found contacting zillow directly is the best way to go!
