Recently I attended a 1.5 hour seminar with John Wolpers, Environmental Health Manager with the Whatcom County Health Department.  I leaned more about the recently passed Whatcom County law that effects you if you are a homeowner with an OSS (On Site Sewage system).  Two of the requirements state that PRIOR to transference of title and PRIOR to offering the home listed for sale, the sellers must have a Report of System Status on file with Whatcom County Health Department. There are about 10 certified inspectors at this time.

Send me an e-mail requesting this 40 page document from the WCHD regarding the new OSS Rules and Regulations. I can also send you a one page document listing the owners responsibility for Operations and Maintenance of an OSS.  I can also send you the list of inspectors to use.  Be proactive before you list your property for sale - use the expertise and knowledge that I can offer you as a full time professional in the Real Estate industry.

Warm regards,

Meredith
