Constant Advertising--on the Go!

When starting a new business, you just aren't sure which advertising methods will be the most successful.  I have found the most costly is perhaps newspaper advertising and it doesn't always reach those for whom it is intended.  Post cards and mailings are great, but not many will respond to them.  E-mails are super easy, cost efficient and great to reach those computer savvy individuals------if you don't get thrown into the spam file.

Personally, I love to go----go shopping, go sight seeing, go out to dinner, just go driving.  So, why not advertise while I'm at it!  For a very small investment, a vinyl window decal advertises for me--everywhere I go.  Since home staging is still relatively new in our area, I have noticed a few puzzled looks from the people sitting behind me at traffic lights.  I think that I should put an extra description underneath:  home staging & redesign.

I'm still not sure how effective this advertising is, but at least I FEEL like I am doing something, even when I'm just out cruising around.  I know that I have become more aware of how I drive. My business and reputation are always on display.

Ready 2 Stage Home Staging & Redesign can help home sellers reach maximum selling potential.  With a relatively small investment, we can make changes that can drastically improve your internet photos and create a lasting first impression in those viewing your house.  Call today for your in-home consultation.

Hi Lori this is a great idea and many more should do this.  I have magnets on my car.  One on each door and on the rear hatch.  For anyone who would like to get them they can go to VistaPrint.com.  Their pricing is fantastic.  I, like you am a fan.  Everywhere we go, we advertise, for free.

Karen--I have thought of getting the magnets from vistaprint.  They have such great deals on things.  Thanks for your comments.

I know many vendors that get great results from decals. I'm too afraid to put one on my car because then if I make a bad move, someone may reflect it on my business.  But I agree it's a great way to get your name out there.

Michele--It does make you watch your driving skills a little better, which is good for me.  Thanks for your comments.

I think this is a great idea, but I was told by my insurance company that I would have to pay extra for decal advertising on my car.  Didn't want to do that so that is why I only put it on the back of my car when I am staging a house and the car is in the driveway.

I had a good friend of mine in the real estate business tell me that when she was first starting out she would drive around everywhere because she wanted to give people the impression that she was busy and out and about.  That could definitely work to your advantage!

Thanks for sharing this great idea - I am going to check into what the insurance issues are again.

Sheila--Thanks for the info.  I might want to check that myself. Didn't about such a charge and hopefully there would not be one for me.  Maybe I should just remain ignorant and blissfull!!  haha

I have branding on our trailer, but not on the car . . . keep worrying that my driving may turn off potential clients!  I can't imagine that insurance should be more, but you should increase your liability insurance - if you're a business people may be more apt to sue.  Drive careful!

I have magnets and I have to admit, I really prefer driving without them.  You have to be very aware of every move you make when your name is right there for everyone to see.  Don't misunderstand, I use them and I think having to drive more carefully is a good thing.  I'm just being honest, I'm more comfortable when I don't have them on the car.

Margaret & Sharon--You ladies must be maniac drivers!! haha  But seriously, I  do think that it makes you less likely to break traffic rules....someone might think that you would be less than careful with their house.  Thanks for your comments.

I am back and think, wow you ladies must be fast drivers too.  I have had my magnets on my vehicle for more than a year, and I will tell you, it is a great silent advertizer.  I appreciate that they work so hard for me and do not cost a bundle.

I think there are pros and cons to decals and magnets but it's such a great way to advertise for very little and unless your a total nut on the road, they can really help you get your name out there. I'm new in my business and plan on getting one!

I have some magnets, but have only used them once.  My car is black and gets dirty very easily here.  As a matter of fact, I just had it cleaned and in less than an hour from just sitting in the driveway it was covered in dust.  But I like the decal.

Cindy--I know what you mean about dirty cars.  That's why I tend to choose the lighter colors, because they tend to look less dirty. Thanks for your comments.
