Going green is getting less expensive for Triangle homeowners!

PSNC Energy "Green" Home Programs

PSNC Energy is offering rebates on installation of energy efficient gas and water heaters.  Not only that, but Energy Star homeowners can save .05/therm, or about 5%, on their monthly energy bills.

Progress Energy "Green" Incentives

Progress Energy is working on more incentive programs - here's what they already offer:

Home Energy Check - a comprehensive residential energy analysis that can show homeowners where they might best save.

Lower My Bill ToolKit - a 5 step process to help identify ways to save energy.  And lower energy use reduces greenhouse emissions, as well as use of natural resources like coal.

Home Appliance Energy Calculator - learn which of your household appliances use the most energy, and what can be done to reduce energy usage.

Energy Star Discounts - The Home Advantage program encourages homebuyers to consider an ENERGY STAR qualified home, AND offers a 5% monthly discount on power costs.

Penny, that is great news and I hope that the trend continues across the country and the "Trend" becomes the Standard.  We need to get off oil, it WILL run out, and I don't think that they've perfected Electric Airliners yet!  Have a great day.

Penny I love NC.  Thanks for your post.  Green is so key as a movement i am an ECO-Broker and when you look at the trends set for building commercial properties it only makes sense to use our resources with greater accountability and respect.
