I had a telephone interview earlier this week with a prospective client.  One of the questions he asked me was this:

"What do you consider your strongest quality?"

That was easy. I consider my strength the fact that I feel my client's success is my success.  I have to do my best for my clients because they depend on meThey need my help or else they wouldn't be interviewing me. My job is to help them. My strength lies in my desire to see my clients succeed.  When their business grows, my business grows.

Do you feel that way about your clients? In the real estate industry, it is especially important to develop that connection with your clients. It has often been said that the purchase or sell of a home is probably the single most important financial decision we make.  As such, the home buyer or seller needs to not only feel but KNOW that their agent is in their corner.

Are you in your client's corner?

Do you have their best interests at heart during every stage of the transaction?

Why should a potential client chose you over all the other real estate agents in your area?

What is YOUR strength?

Renae, I think everyone says the same thing.  I see and hear the same answer over and over.  It seems almost robotic in nature.

I am strong at follow up which helps convert buyers.  Its a little known art in this business.

I think my greatest strength is that Ido have my client's best int rest at hart. I had a home inspector tell me in the thousand's of homes he has inspected that I was one of three Agents ever, to tell a client to walk away from a deal because of the problems with the home. Yes, I lost a lot of money for a short time, but I have my reputation and that client now is one of my best referral source's.

My greatest strength is making my clients feel comfortable.

My strength is I work on a personal level with my clients rather treating them just a business transaction. They get comfortable and this has been expressed by the referrals and repeated clients I have got.

I think my strength is my protectiveness of my clients...I don't care if one particular deal goes through as long as they know that I should be their Realtor for life.

My greatest strength is that my clients know that I'm very task oriented. My clients know that I will do and give everything I got to get the job done.

My strength is that I LOVE PEOPLE!!!  Which can also be a problem but, the part of Real Estate that I adore is that when you find "THAT PERFECT HOME" and you see the delight in their eyes, there is nothing like it in the world.  "PRICELESS"!!!

My logo is "Helping You Is What I Do" but you need to have a positive attitude and a desire to succeed.  Clients  are so important and we need to take care of them. Great post.

So Renae, did your answer gain you the client?, haha.

I hate it when the question is , what is your weakest quality?

My strength is knowledge. knowing my business can not be substituted with anything else, not flowers, kind words, being good with people, caring, good intentions, dressing up nice, being on time, answering the phone, smelling nice, etc. Everything else in nice and I am sure it is appreciated but when its all said and done do you know what you are doing and are you doing it well!

My strength is in my honesty. I'm not afraid to provide all the information necessary for a person to make an informed decision.  What they do with the info is beyond my control. Intelligent decisions are not always made but at least I've given all the facts.  This goes beyond real estate and into all areas of my life.

What is that "robotic" answer, Tony?

Balance may well be the most difficult thing to achieve in business, Lori. Especially if you have a family!

And enthusiasm is contagious, isn't it Caren?

That's a great strength to have, Eric!

That is so true, Chuck. Most agents don't have the desire to follow-up but that's where the real business is had!

Buzz, you set yourself apart by being willing to lose some money to protect the client. Kudos to you!

That's important, too, Jared. Putting the client at ease ensures they will feel comfortable telling you the truth about how they feel about the properties they see!

Good for you Ritu! Referrals and repeat business are a great way to grow your business!

Karen, you sound like the mother hen, ready to peck the eyes out of anyone who tries to do your clients harm!

That's a great attitude to have, Jimmy.  Being task oriented ensures that nothing slips through the cracks!

Loving people means you'll keep them at the center of all transactions, right Katie?  That means you put their interests before everything else!

You're right, Connie.  Taking care of your clients should be the priority!

Yes, Matt! He signed yesterday!  And you are absolutely right! I can sign clients all day long but if I don't know marketing the way I say I do, if I can't do the things I tell the client I can do, what's the point?

That's a good rule to live by, Susan - honesty.  Too much fluff goes into real estate these days.  Too much coddling and hand-holding instead of telling them what they need to know.

I'm always in the corner of my clients. But my strengths lie in negotiation on behalf of my clients, since I'm good at reading body language. Since I know this, I go out of my way to observe the other agent and their clients, when they're viewing my listings, and vice versa if I'm working with buyers. I want my clients to do the best they can with their offer. When they're happy, I'm happy =D

I think my greatest strength is the ability to listen, and to listen well. Some people listen but only hear what they want to hear.

Renae,

Great question to ask!!! It makes us think and look deeper into ourselves.

My greatest strength in my life and my business is building lasting and meaningful relationships with the people I meet.  It always brings me great joy!!!

Thanks for asking ;~)
