One of the benefits of living at Lake Anna is that you are in Central Virginia. What is great about that is the fact you are out in the country, enjoying all the wonderful aspects of country living while still close to many of the wonderful things Virginia offers.
Williamsburg happens to be one of those special places in Virginia and it is not that far from the lake. I
make the trip often as my daughter and her family live there. From door to door it is about 90 minutes.
It is easy to accomplish even in during a day trip. Allow enough time to visit Colonial Williamsburg and even some time to do a little shopping at the famed Pottery or at the various outlet stores. If you are really giving yourself a treat you can stroll through the specialty shops in the colonial section of town.
On a recent visit to Williamsburg I enjoyed seeing the flowers blossoming by the railroad station and others by the downtown library.
As much as I love visiting Williamsburg it is nice to know I have Lake Anna to come home to when my trip is over.
