The Power of a Greeting Card

I spoke with several people this week whom I had sent greeting cards to. One was a Realtor who I sent a Birthday Card with his picture on it and another a Realtor who is quiting smoking. Both of them were surprised, touched and curious about how I did it.

The first one I pulled his picture off the Internet and placed it on the cover of the card. I also sent a gift box of goodies. He was touched and we will get together next week to go over the system. The card cost me $.93.

The second one I just found a pre-made card, similar to what I would have done if I was at the grocery store or mall. She was touched as it spoke to a felt need. She also is very impressed with the system. This card cost $.62.

These were sent from the comfort of my home and delivered within 2 days to their postal address.

Larry, I think sometimes many folks underestimate the power of a personal handwritten note/card.

Larry: Few are those who print out emails and put them on their walls. Legion are those who tack or tape up heartfelt cards. Cheers.

David and Jim -  I agree with you both. What I like about SendOutCards is that it marries the two together. I send a personal written card in my own handwriting from my laptop. It's then delivered just as if I had mailed it myself.  Meets both needs.

But I agree wholeheartedly. A card that is opened and held in our hands carries a lot more impact than an email.

Matt - LOL great point. I have a few myself that I can't seem to throw away. I have a lot of buried emails that I'll never see again as well.

Larry

This is what Brian Buffini keeps hammering to us....personal notes and phone calls, pop bys. The good old-fashioned ways to connect with your associates is always appreciated!

Keep up the good work.

Pacita - thanks for the comment. It works. Send a card, followup with a phone call and get together. Turn a prospect into a friend.

People don't care how much you know until the know how much you care. How many times have we heard this saying?  It is true, people do business with people they like.

Evelyn - Thanks for the comment. It's so true. That's the challenge with Internet Marketing; turning people who might be bargin hunters into people who like us and trust us.
