My ten year old niece Paige M Cooper placed first overall female at the Alexander County YMCA 5K Relay For Life on April 4, 2009.  Paige has won several races in her age category but this was the first time she received 1st place for overall female.

Paige began running with her mother in 2008 and proved to be a "natural".

That is so exciting!  I am trying (again) to get into running......maybe I should get some tips from Paige. :)

Ann, I'm not much of a runner.  I love being outdoors hiking, trail walking, etc...just don't love running.  But very happy for Paige.

Sherry, I'll tell Marissa to sign her up.  Marissa is running a half marathon this weekend.
