But there is nothing a man likes as much as...

It's an excellent steak!

Going in, the atmosphere is a mix between a butcher shop and a farm house with simple chandeliers. The first time you ever go might be strange. You see a lot of high-end people eating an extremely high- end steak in a place with low-end decor. I have been seated next to corporate executives, ball players and stock brokers who have just come off the trading floor, along with the average Joe and his friend talking about how long the ride is from Bensonhurst. The best steak is not in Manhattan, mind you, it's in Brooklyn, baby!

The aged beef and the temperature at which they cook this magnificent piece of beef make it a cut above the rest. For as long as I have known, it has been on the top of the Zagat guide for steak. Yes, there is Peter Luger's steak sauce, salt and pepper, but you will not need any of these. In taste, this steak stands alone. Every time I have been there, I have seen many people leave with a smile on their face and a few belts undone.

If you are a steak connoisseur and have never been here, your life will never be complete. Sure, I have been to many other places that were amazing, but this place is exceptional. I have always been asked one thing when questioned about Peter Lugers: What do you think is the second best steak in NYC?
