It's Wine Tasting For Me.

I'm thinking about going wine tasting this afternoon to this new winery out in our fabulous Southern California Wine Country. They do their tastings a little different, from what I understand. You pay your entry fee and get either a glass or a straw and proceed to your tasting area. During the winter the tasting area is red and room temperature. During the summer they  fill it with white and it is chilled to about 62.  Yummmm.

This reminds me of the old story about Murphy -
"Old man Murphy had worked down at the brewery for years, but one day, he just wasn't paying attention, tripped on the walkway and fell over into a vat of Guiness and drowned.
The foreman thought it should be his job to inform the widow Murphy of her old man's death. He showed up at the front door and rang the bell. When she came to the door, he said, "I'm sorry to tell you, but poor old Murphy passed away at work today when he fell into the vat and drowned."
She wept and covered her face with her apron and after a time, between sobs, she asked, "Tell me, did he suffer?"
"I don't think so," said the foreman: "He got out three times to go to the men's room."

You have an interesting sense of humor. I like the wine hot tub. But I am not so sure I would drink any-LOL-Dinah Lee

A friend of mine went last weekend  and sat next to a guy who claimed it was champagne - lots of bubbles around him. Probably best to avoid.

ps - they say it has excellent body but the bouquet is reminiscent of feet.

Hi Gene,

Wine tasting certainly sounds like fun~especially on a sunny day like today...

The picture above, however, is not exactly what I had in mind! :)

Gene... This must have been Japanese Tourist day at the winery, or there is an interesting side effect to bathing in the red wine.  :o)   Steve

Hi Gene - That is a funny story lol  I'm not sure I would want to participate in the wine testing though; it's like drinking someones bathwater.

I don't know - if you can't depart this vale of tears in the arms of your lover it seems drowning in a vat of Guiness would not be a bad 2nd choice.

Lara - must maintain a sense of humor these days. Without that we'd all be blithering nuts.

Montana - no tasting? Hey where's the fun in that. No guts - no glory, no balls - no blue chips. No cajones - no Chianti.
