If you leave a comment, Jim will visit your blog and leave a comment. It had been over ten years since I had gone to the Carlsbad Flower Fields, always thinking that if you've seen them once, you've seen them a million times. As I discovered last week, such is not the case.

There are over 50 acres of flowers here, the great majority of which are the beautiful ranunculus. However, they have a sweat pea maze -- do not enter if you dislike mazes, and certainly don't lose your child in the maze -- a rose garden, a poinsettia barn, the most beautiful geranium gardens I've ever seen -- and I used to dislike geraniums, a gem mining river -- you are guaranteed to get at least one gem in your mine, and lots of activities for the children.

Following is a mini-tour of the Flower Fields for your viewing pleasure. If you get to San Diego during the summer, a trip up the coast to Carlsbad to see the Flower Fields is well worth it.

Jim

Every time I drive around the Flower Fields in Carlsbad I get the same amazed response at how beautiful they are.

We are lucky to live in San Diego. By the way, great photos.

Isaac Bensussen.
