A Sick Child Puts Everything in Perspective!

By
Real Estate Agent with Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors

After watching my 10 year old grandson go thru open heart surgery this past week, I've decided to complain a lot less and not sweat the small stuff!

Mr. Seller: You don't want to pay for replacing the obsolete electrical system in your home. That's fine! But you may lose the buyer!

Ms Seller: You don't want to have a plumber turn your hot water heater back on so the buyers can do their inspection. Fine, they might walk!

Mr and Mrs Buyer: You don't want to take the time to get all your loan docs in, that's OK but the back-up offer may get accepted if we don't release financing on time!

Ms Seller: This is the 3rd time you've cancelled a showing(there have only been 2 others) and our open house, so do you want to sell or not?

When we depend on other people's decisions( many of them bad)  for our livelihood it's hard not to get stressed out and worry. But these are not life and death decisions. A surgeon's decision can mean life and death!

So how is your grandson doing?  Something like that does put everything in perspective doesn't it.  When I get all stressed out over real estate I just try to remember that God is my CEO and that puts everything in perspective but something like you just went through really brings it home.

Best of luck to your family. There is nothing we would not give up for the safety and health of our children, remembering this at difficult times does help.

An update on Anthony!

Thanks to all who commented!  He is doing GREAT!!! It's amazing how fast children heal and bounce back! I wish I had his energy.  Family is my #1 priority!  If I don't get anything else right in my lifetime, I know I've accomplished motherhood and being a gramma!  Have a new grandson, born June 17th.  Oliver weighing in at his month check-up at almost 11 lbs!

Have a wonderful day and to all of you who have kids and grandkids, give them a big hug for me!
