Vernon Hills Charity, the Sports Shed, needs new and slightly used sports equipment.... 

  The Sports Shed is a non-profit organization located  in Vernon Hills who's passion is to help kids who have the desire to play sports but do not have the resources to buy what they need to get in the game.  The Sports Shed collects new and gently used sports equipment from people in the community.  This equipment is in turn is given to the organizations like The Girls in the Game, Mercy Home for Boys, and Horizons for Youth, who provide support programs for kids in need.   

Maybe  you need a good excuse to clean out your garage

or perhaps you are moving and would like donate items you no longer need.   You can contact the Spots Shed at 847-791-7320  to schedule a pick up:  Soccer balls, Shin Guards, Basketballs, Baseballs and softballs, Aluminum and wooden Bats, Mitts, Footballs, Tennis rackets and balls, Volleyballs, Kneepads, Hockey sticks, skates or pads, New swim suits, goggles and caps.

There are also drop off locations at the Vernon Hills Park District Sullivan Center and at Sports 11 in Libertyville.
