SpeechLess Sunday.  This is a photo that I had take yesterday during the sunset @ Cape May Point, New Jersey with the Cape May Point Lighthouse in the far distance.  This was the most beautiful day of spring that we have had here in Southern New Jersey so far, also it is the weekend of the Jazz Festival in Cape May, New Jersey.  A great weekend for all that came out for the Jazz Fest and the beautiful sunsets.   What else can I say but "Priceless"!!!

Photo is by Julie Staradumsky and may not be reproduced without owners premission!

Oh wow. That is breathtaking! Shoreline, sunset, lighthouse... what more could you ask for in a photo. Just look through my own hard drive if you need proof! LOL. I take similar photos all the time. What can I say? I love all of these elements.

Julie - this is a beautiful photograph.  I had no idea such scenes were along the New Jersey shore.  Keep posting more photos!

Thanks Fran and Rowena.  The South Jersey shore area is so much different from the northern area, in the southern part we have larger beaches, land, Forrest, farms and a lot of nature!

Ah yes, I've been to Cape May and it's a delightful place indeed.  I seem to recall taking a ferry from there as well unless I have my places confused.

Julie:  Although I enjoy so many of the "Speechless Sunday" photos... it is so nice to find such a gorgeous picture... and then be able to read about the scene in the photo.  Thanks so much for sharing with us.  Take care...

Hi Richard, you do not have your pass confused..........the Cape May-Lewis Ferry still runs form Cape May to Lewis, Delaware, weather and seas permitting...............Cape May, New Jersey is such a relaxing environment!!  And a plus to see a sunset on the eastern seaboard!, as there are not many areas to see a sunset on the eastern seaboard!

Hello Robert, and thanks for your comment.  If you have never visited Cape May, you may want to put this spot on your Bucket List of places to visit.  Cape May has great history as our first and early Presidents would vacation here during the summer (you can find the information in the search engine - CONGRESS HALL).  The Victorian Homes, Bed and Breakfast, History, Restaurants, Nature-bird watching, Sunset Beach and the Sunken Ship (Civil War concrete ship) "BEST SUNSETS ON THE EAST COAST"!  My photos were above Sunset Beach (north) in view of the Cape May Point Light House.
