Like many local families and businesses we have been looking for ways to save money.  One large business expense we have of course is the phone. 

We have been using Vonage, which is nice since there is no limit to how many calls and no long distance charges, but since I am now officing from the office and have no need to fax from home any more we began to look for other options.

I have a phone # I have had for years and years and that is on all of my marketing and all my clients know, which is 253 212 1252.  I would be more likely to give up our web address www.teammomentumrealestate.com than the phone # and I would not give up that webaddress either.

For the last 2-3 years I have had my home phone forwarded to my cell so that when I am out then no problem I could get the calls, but while I had an assistant working from my home she could get the calls too.  For the last while though, no assistant in my home and I have not been working from home.  So.....we found out first off that we could port our home line to a cell #.  So.....starting at the end of this month I will be one of those folks that no longer has a home phone.  ( or fax line)  We found out we can keep 253 212 1252 and make it my cell #.

That between those 2 lines will save about $40 a month. 

Then I hae been paying $99 plus tax for my cell line with Team Mobile.  My husband has only had a company phone and really wanted one for personal use.....so......we checked into it and by changing plans with Team Moblie we got a $89 a month plan of unlimited for us both!  So for about $50 LESS than I had been paying we both have unlimited calling .  Hurray!

What if some one wants to use a phone at home?  Well we have that covered too, we got a Skype head set and for a very low amt per year. ( under $10) we can call out on our computer line when ever we want. 

We shared this with my mom in law who is now able to talk with our relatives in Japan for just the service charge per year.  She of course is thrilled since long distance to Japan is really expensive. 

Any way, hope that the information about the 2 lines with unlimited and Skype can save some of you money!    I also found out that I could add another line for just $39 a month, also unlimited!
