April 20, 2008! A great day to be in Boston. The Red Sox are playing their annual Marathon day 11 AM game. This year they are playing against the Baltimore Orioles. The Red Sox are looking to sweep this series against the Orioles.
Then at 12 noon is the 113th annual Boston Marathon.
Finally tonight at 7 the Boston Celtics look to take game 2 after they were stunned. "Shocked" is a good word to describe the feeling around Boston after Saturd ay afternoon's Game 1 loss in overtime to the Chicago Bulls. The defending champion Boston Celtics were supposed to take Game 1 in a wash, but that was far from the case.
Rookie point guard Derrick Rose ate the C's up and dropped 36 points, 11 assists and four rebounds on them like he was toying with a high school basketball team.
If you know the Celtics, you know that it's seldom any player can make playing against their defense look so easy. That's why, as any good team does after suffering a shocking loss, the Celtics will boot Saturday afternoon to the very back of their memory banks.
And lets not forget the Bruins are playing the Canadians in Montreal tonight also at 7.
