CONNECT YOUR iPHONE TO YOUR LAPTOP TO ACCESS THE INTERNET!

Release 3.0 of iPhone will support tethering and be blessed by AT&T.

Tethering allows you to connect your iphone directly to your laptop for a connection to the Internet.

Until now it could be done, but you risked violating your agreement with AT&T.

According to a sales representative at Best Buy the feature should be available in the mid June time-frame.

I've been very happy with he speed of the connection on my iphone, but my eyes get tired looking at that small screen after ten or fifteen minutes.

We researched the air-cards from Sprint, AT&T and Verizon, but found them to be a bit expensive at $59.00 a month for the premium package.

More and More we see a need for this type of service in our business.

Response time and availability to information are key ingredients to the success of our business.

I like this feature, which I also have on my palm treo. I have been using this connection to my laptop for over a year now. The connection is slightly slower than wi-fi, but it does save me anywhere from $45-$70 a month on an air card. The only downfall is if you do not have service on your phone. Good point.

I think I have this option on my blackberry, however, have never used it.  Maybe I will check it out.  Thanks.

I actually do this now with my iPhone...   I was one of the few that downloaded a program that was available for about a week.. then yanked... by Apple.  :)

Fred,  I heard about that.  How is it working out?

Does it work on 3G or edge only?

What are the best options available right now?

Should I just wait for the tethering release from AT&T?
