My 83 year old mom has this really awful red baseball hat she wears a lot that protects her nose from the UV rays. Combine that hat with her sunglasses, her white with sunscreen nose, and wow, she's funny. It's ok, I love her dearly, and I don't have to wear it!

Everyone's tastes are different. Everyone's needs are different.

The upper four shirts may or may not appeal to you. The blue button down men's oxford or the little black dress with pearls are looks that are clean, simple, comfortable, versatile--and appeal to most people. Professional home staging achieves this look in a home so it appeals to just about everyone.

Do you care if your house is clean? Everyone's "clean tolerance" is different too. My kitchen counter always has school papers, cafeteria menus, baseball schedules, coupons and gorgeous 4th grade artwork on it, and I'm ok with this. But my friend Gail goes beserk when she's visiting me, "How can you stand this chaos?" To each his own, right?

When you're trying to sell your house, IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU ANYMORE.

If buyers don't like your wallpaper, your clutter, your clean tolerance level...you are going to get less money for your home at closing. Don't be stubborn. You can live in your NEXT home as you please!

One more time-- Looks that are clean, simple, comfortable and versatile. Professional home staging achieves this look in a home so it appeals to just about everyone.

That is how I get sellers to move stuff out -" You can store it now so it won't get damaged and put it out in your new home. Your new place will be all about you!!"

Very simply stated and easy to understand - could you be a stager?.  No hurt feelings involved either. I can actually see you handing this out to your client's as a "cover letter" of sorts and a source of marketing material for your business.  It's very well put and something any buyer can understand without feeling judged by you prior to your arrival at their home for a consult.  You are creating wealth for your client by explaining the process - who can't love that?

Love it! (and the image of your mom's white nose...ah memories of Miami Beach before South Beach....)

Maureen, it's all about the cookies you know. It's the only reason I blog. And oh my...the little black dress nomination as well? Why, this is all just toooo much. Marci, how can I ever thank you enough?

Sue -- It's not about you anymore is right -   it's called what's in it for ME!.  I think you hit the nail on the head.  I think your mom sounds like a delightful person.  She will have to take a picture in her baseball cap!

Sue I think you found either a second tag line...or a line for your business card!

It's not about you anymore! I love it!

Sue - It seems like we are all getting comments from a variety of women (or one busy gal) from other countries pushing various things from shower curtains to credit reports.  I say go away.

To John Veler from Fizber - It looks to me like Fizber makes money selling just forms and then the sellers or buyers are on their own.  That includes proper pricing, marketing, staging, negotiations,  filling out those forms in a proper manner, showings, pre- approval of buyers (you really do not want to find out they do not have funding at the closing table 60 days later).

Over 85% of FSBO eventually go with an agent - after wasting their time and money.

PS It is not proper form to advertise your services on some one else's blog - write your own.

Sue - thanks for letting me use your white space.
