My wife and best friend of 30 years (wife for 28) is having surgery on Thursday. It fairly common "female" surgery, but the thought has caused me to reflect a bit more on our life together. Raising three boys together. Fixing to marry off one of them. Got one away at college. One more at home. Lots to be thankful for. It's a good life.

I hope all went well for your wife's surgery.  Just don't let her do too much too soon as she may think she feels 'wonderful' by week three.  Wrong!  Now is HER time to be babied and cared for by all four of you men in her life!

Update: Surgery went well. She's totally recovered and feels better than ever. We both didn;t realize that she had been feeling bad for a while. It happened so gradually, we just didn't notice.

And life is still good!
