I'm sorry if this wasn't your inten! But I'm sitting here laughing! This was extremely funny but the shame of it is your right and I see so many examples of homes for sale that look just like your pictures.

I see pictures in our local MLS that are almost that bad. Why don't the agents TELL the people to put stuff away?

Leslie - It's incredible, can you imagine a buyer's face, oh no you don't have to imagine it because most of us have seen it at least once, lol!  I have a list of possible issues from pet ordor to poor landscaping and we go though it together after a house is listed, I make them tell me what they think the areas of concern might be, then I point them back to any they may have missed!

Those pictures are scary! But the truth is, some sellers have no idea...Even worse, some agents will not say anything and yes post scary pictures on the MLS/Web for buyers to see. Thanks for the laugh.

We just talked to a lady about listing her house. She is a friend, so I have more flexibility with her than I would with a stranger. Her house is decorated nicely BUT way too much stuff- and INTERESTING stuff that wouls distract from the house. I started talking about de-cluttering and de-personalizing and she started laughing and said "I can see it, you're moving me out". I said "not you, just most of your things". We'll see if she does it.

Caroline - scary is putting it mildly, I don't understand agents that post photos like these on mls...what was the point?  Either make the seller clean it up or don't post the interior photos...and put it in writing to your seller why you are not posting the interior photos and make them sign it!

After just purchasing a home last fall in the North Atlanta area, it's amazing how many sellers leave their home like this and worse (no matter the price range). Worse yet (to your point) a Realtor posting pictures like the ones you used for examples.
