A Day in the Life of Marketing----

By
Real Estate Agent with Your Choice Real Estate

Web marketing, social marketing, email marketing, direct mail marketing----alot of marketing!

I am trying to explain to my family these days that while during the day I am working with people, in the evenings I am working on jump starting new and improved marketing campaigns.  Trying new things!  For example, last week I tried a Facebook ad campaign--um, okay, cost a little, and nothing came of it?  At least not that I could track.  And that's okay--I would do it again, but differently this time, a little bit tweaked, just a little.

And the websites.  I have 3.  One generates a lot of leads, but only a few that pan out.  One generates nothing, okay--3 so far, in 4 months.  And the other is new  and I'm not sure I like it.  But I also am not sure what changes I want to make.  Just not sure yet.

But the social marketing--I've decided that is my thing!  Since I like to talk to everyone, this is easy--and fruitful.  The poor buyer agent I work with must think I'm nuts--a name, phone number, and some scribbled info.  It was so embarassing I'm putting it into Top Producer to make it look a little more formal:-) but I'm fairly sure she's not fooled!  And there it is though.  Even if I think you could be interested in property your mine!

I've only been doing this a few years--and the market has never been easy for me.  So, if there is anything I'm missing please give me a hint!  I like the social, and am learning the the website, and am good for email---not sure about direct mail.  But am working to it!

I like ending my day with Active Rain blogging.  'tis good!

Hang in there with the websites but I agree, social marketing is good and for me, I love it.

I think there is a better way to approach Facebook than ads.  Have you tried a Fan Page?  Those will get you folks who are really interested in info about Jacksonville.  They will be real leads as opposed to the hit or miss of pay-per-click ads.  Try that!

Christa - The new website looks pretty good. You might want to get on facebook at least you will be able to keep in contact with people you know.

This year I added postcards to my marketing.  Great for FSBO and expired listings and not too expensive.

I did the fan page!  Love it---and I get to voice all my real estate 'stuff' without worrying about my friends being intruded on!  Thanks!!

I am thinking about postcards:-)

Thank you Robert!  I am on Facebook, and now have a fan page too!  Way too much fun and another thing to spend my evenings on!
