"That would NEVER happen in my neighborhood!!" I thought. Well, it happened!
I saw a post the other day on our neighborhood message board:
The owner of our leased property...lives overseas. We just discovered that the substantial lease payments my husband's ...company makes to him have not been paid to his mortgage. Due to his mismanagement, his house sold last week by Foreclosure. We have around 3 weeks to move.
I have heard of this happening before, but this is the first incident I have heard of in my very own subdivision. SO sad!! I think there needs to be a HIGH penalty for those who are not only robbing the lender but also are robbing the tenant at the same time!! Doubly criminal in my opinion. Due to knaves like this individual, who probably HAD the ability to pay his mortgage but just chose NOT to, our property values will suffer. :( Ah, but in the end, justice will prevail. :)
