I am writing today about the difficulties of fund raising in this present economy. I am a Rotarian and being involved in fund raising in my own local area I can say that our normal fund raising activities have to be off at least 25% this year over last year. It's not that people don't want to give but rather just can't give as much.  Our club has now for the first time taken to the web and posted our fundraisers on our new site www.mapleshaderotary.comwe have also just been approved for a gambling license and our first raffle a Super 50/50 will hopefully help compensate for our lower revenues this year.
