Tony... All I can say is if you know of anyone looking to buy or sell a home in Lincoln County of NC.. there is no one better than Teresa. Not many people go out of their way, the way she did.
Jared.. I agree with you 100% about what Teresa did. She *IS* cool.
Valerie - It just goes to show you how friendships are forged over the miles and through these tough times. This brought a tear to my eye and it was good to see such a random act of kindess.
Laura.. Your comment was very well put... "Random Acts of Kindess". This is not found this day and age that often, and I do not take this lightly. Teresa is a wonderful person. I hope to meet her someday.
Valerie, that is really a very nice gesture.
Valerie:
I too missed your blog about Rusty. I had to put my 13 year old dalmation down last year and it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't take a minute to remember all of the wonderful memories I have of him. He was a wonderful dog and I am grateful for the joy that he brought to my life while I had him with me.
So sorry for your loss. Try to dwell on the wonderful memories that you had with Rusty, it will get you through those tough bumps in the road.
I joined ActiveRain for google juice and SEO. What I have found in terms of relationships and knowledge far outweighs any other benefit. My sympathies at the loss of your beloved rusty.
Valerie - That was so thoughtful of her! Thanks for sharing this with us... :)
Valerie, there are great people everywhere and AR is a means to bring them together.
David... I was truly speechless when I receive the plant. My co-worker said that I was getting a delivery, but I had no idea why or from whom. Teresa has a heart of gold.
Christine.. You are another member here that loves their pets, and dog in particular. Did you join "It's Raining DOGS!! Dog loves Group" here on ActiveRain. I just wanted to pass this along. I have found a lot of wonderful stories there.
Sorry to hear about your loss of your dalmation. As you mentioned you have great memories.. and I'm hoping I'll have those too in time... without the pain.
Janna... I know exactly what you mean. George Souto, was the one that introduced me to ActiveRain over a year ago. He mentioned it *might* bring me some business.... which it has. But never did I think friendships like this would come from it.
Debi... You are welcome. I enjoy sharing stories like this. With all the bad news and publicity, it is good to read and see how people extend themselves in sad times.
Jack.. You are right, but isn't good to know that you and I are part of the "Good People" that are out there.
Valerie it takes a very special person to do that. I am sure that Teresa made a friend in you for ever.
That was very sweet of Teresa :) a special person indeed!
Hey Valerie, and wow what did you do here?? One of the things that drew me to you was your love for Rusty...I know how those black eyes and that black nose can melt your heart. Reading your post made me hug mine a little more and instead of telling them I love them 50 times that day I had to add a couple more times.
I know with the issues he has had it hasn't been easy on you but THANK YOU for rescuing him and providing a wonderful home for him.
I am always happy to celebrate the highs and try to comfort the lows....what else are friends for??
And yes the fish camp dinner is still on when you get you b*t down here!!
Please take care!
George.. I've been chatting with Teresa over the internet for a while. I've found her to be a very interesting and knowledgable person. We have a lot in common, and I'm sure we would be good friends if we just lived closer to one another.
Kara.. Yes, Teresa is a very special person.. just like you are. I still can't get over you sent me a homemade knitted hat for my birthday.
Teresa.. LOL.. I'm still chuckling from reading your comment about my b*tt, and getting it down there for a fish dinner. I'll most worth the trip by itself. :)
I feel a contentment of rescuing Rusty, and in my heart I made my little guys life better... definitely longer. You are right, those black eyes and wet nose just make me melt.
Thank you for being a friend.
