I should have shared this idea with everyone a few weeks ago, but it slipped my mind. About five years ago our company came up with this terrific marketing idea for American Home Week. We had hundreds of signs made up that say "Hometown Realty helped us realize our American Dream. Celebrate American Home Week." A couple of weeks prior to American Home Week, our agents make contact with all their past buyers and ask permission to put one of these signs in their yard for the week. (A wonderful way for the agents to make contact with past buyers.) Then the Friday before American Home Week, we put all these signs up all over town (we are in a community of about 13,500, so the impression is huge.) On the Monday after American Home Week we then go out and pick all of them up and store them until the following year. (Picking up the signs in a timely manner is essential to these buyers allowing us to do this year after year.) This is very cost effective and a great way to make a huge impression at the peak of the spring market.
