This Cape Cod is in a desireable SW neighborhood in Portland, Or. The owners did not want to paint, so we selected furniture and accessories to make the gold on the walls work. After the furnishings were placed and the job was complete, the agent stopped by and commented on how much having the furnishings in the room "toned down" the room color. She has used us before and knows the power of staging, but didn't think that the wall color could be tamed. Here is a before and after of the living room.
This is awesome, Todd. Great job!
Congratulations. Your post is being featured in the group Home Staging Before & After Pictures.

Beautiful job Todd! Amazing how the light upholstery, rug and black accents totally embrace the color on the walls. Looks so sophisticated with the furnishings in place-good luck with a quick sale!
Todd - Good work - reminds me of a job we did a few months ago that's on our website. One photo is actually on our home page!
Great job, as always, Todd! I think the "before" photo would have left potential buyers stumped as to how best to arrange furnitre in this space. I also like the touches of black you used throughout the space. It looks like a photo from a magazine!
I personally love yellow but I know it is a hard colour for most people to imagine living with and you pulled that off. Looks great! The colour on the walls wouldn't scare anyone.
Totally awesome Todd! The lifestyle you're portraying here is warm, inviting and fun!
Looks beautiful Todd! Cream and black are such great options for taming overly dramatic colors!! HGTV's David Bromstad has been such an inspiration because I think I've seen him use EVERY color imaginable to create a really contemporary look in the homes he redesigns. Its all about smart choices and great decor!
I just finished a home that featured A LOT of teal and shiny brass. Might as well work with it because trying to fight it never works well.
