With today being Earth Day--a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment--we are seeing quite a few advertisements for things that we can all purchase and use to conserve our planet's resources.
We can buy compact fluorescent light bulbs (no doubt on sale this week at Home Depot or Lowe's), water bottles (Stainless Steel, Nalgene, etc), and reusable bags.
I love reusable bags, but it can get a little bit crazy. I pick them up all the time at the supermarket, and then I invariably leave them in the trunk the next time I go shopping. I haven't invested much in my bags, but I would like to pledge to remember to bring them in with me every time I go to the store.
But, here's my issue. I have issue with the "fashionable" reusable bag. I like to look good, but personally I'd prefer to get the .99 cent reusable at the supermarket, and donate the difference to charity.
Check out these fancy bags, and tell me what you think!

We bought several thousand with our name and logo on it....and oddly we are getting people asking for them, rather than having us give them out. We just put the word out that we are giving free "green" grocery bags out. Go to our local grocery store and our name is everywhere.
I would not sell them, but give them away based on this info. The charity idea is great, but the management of it can take away from your business. Our charity events are separate and are based on food for the homeless that we donate about 200 grocery bags to the charity.
I think the eco bags make a nice gift... I think some you link to are way to expensive, but $25 or under is a great idea for a closing gift or other gift!
I just bought 1000 bags that are imprinted with my information and I'm going to walk my neighborhood. The goal was to get it done before Earth day, but that's not going to happen.
I am looking to buy a bunch of those bags for my business as well. I have a little bit a a quandry though. I like to get the paper bags from the supermarket and use those to line my recycling garbage in my home and then I don't need to buy plastic kitchen bags. I also take the plastic wal-mart and target bags and line the insides of my bathroom and bedroom garbages. I think I am helping by reusing, but not sure. If anyone knows a great website to buy these bags, I would love to give these out.
How about reusing bags in general?? I take our dry cleaning bags, tie a knot at the opening (where the hangers pop out) and use them for garbage can liners in our bathrooms and even in the kitchen. I can't see buying a bag to to throw more bags (or garbage) away!!
We have bought reusable bags since last year and hand them out in several ways - yes with out info on them. People love them. Now I am all of the trendy bags but paying even $25 is quite a lot. I need to make my own trendy bags with our info on them.. ~Rita
When I remember, I take the green ones a woman gave me in a grocery line when I asked where she got them......I do not remember all the time, I will try harder.

For those of you who buy the bags for advertising . . . where is the best place to get them from? Seems like many inquiring minds want to know.
