Every Spring, the City of Rehoboth Beach holds a Large Trash Pick-Up service for its residents. South Rehoboth is having its pick-up this week! You still have Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday to set your sad sofas, gross grills, gnarly mattresses, even the kitchen sink! out on the curb to be hauled away absolutely FREE!! I just LOVE this town!

Isn't the Large Trash Pickup (I like Brush & Bulky better--nice illiteration) a great service? I've lived in communities that don't do this and the junk just piles up in the garage!
Another thing the City of Rehoboth Beach does is they collect yard waste (leaves, grass clippings) from the street in front of folks' houses from September 15-May 15. They don't allow home owners to pile the stuff at the curb "in season" because every available parking space is needed for the non-residents visiting the beach, but it sure is helpful with Spring Clean-Up and Fall Leaf Raking. A big, sucking machine that looks like something out of Dr. Seuss comes along with its huge, flexible hose, and city workers suck up the stuff and voila, it's gone!
