Hindsight is always 20/20, but I am not sure if hindsight is necessary here. You tell me. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.
All multiple listing services has specific rules and regulations with regard to the information that must be placed on the MLS. In San Diego County, you are to mark whether there is a lockbox, if it is a Sentrilock, and other details.
When we have a lot of listings, we run out of the Sentrilock lockboxes and so we use combination lockboxes. We always put the combo in the confidential remarks on the MLS. It is four digits. We write 'Lockbox combo: 0-0-0-0' (not the combo, but you get the point).
So, why do we get loads and loads of calls from agents who need the combination? What are we doing wrong? Why is it that many folks do not take time to read the MLS listing in its entirety when we spend time painstakingly making sure that the listing adheres to the rules and regulations? Am I doing something to elicit these calls?
Anyone want to chime in on this one?

Perhaps they are in front of the house when they make the call, and do not have access to MLS?
