Phoenix and Mesa, Arizona - SRP Offering Rebates for Air Conditioners or Heat Pumps!!

Those of us living in the Valley of the Sun know just how much we rely on our air conditioners to keep us cool in the summer.

SRP is offering rebates ranging from $200 to $400 for customers who replace existing heat pumps or air conditioners with “qualifying” high-efficiency central cooling systems. The rebate starts May 1, 2009.

In addition, qualifying new systems placed in service from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010, may be eligible for a federal energy efficiency tax air conditioning credit of up to $1,500.

Rebate applications are due by October 31, 2009. As always, for more details regarding SRP’s rebate or the federal tax credit, log on to www.srpnet.com/coolcash, or call: 602.236-9644.

That's the ticket Teri, Earth day is a good day to remind people to save money and our atmosphere by upgrading to energy efficient equipment, I hear it is blazing for so early in the year, hang in there.

Hi Teri...You are sooo reliable to help the people in Phoenix and Mesa with Good Tip like this. Whats an Air Conditioner? Is this something that makes the air cleaner and better condition? Is the air that bad in Arizona? (ROFL)

Steve, that's what I was thinking. With Earth Day, we are made more aware of how important it is to preserve our world. ;-)

Lynda, SRP means Salt River Project - providing electricity in parts of state and I think others as well. ;-) There might be federal rebates too....I'll have to research them. ;-)

Tom, it was hot yesterday and today. Supposed to cool off into the mid-90's and mid 80's by the weekend. ;-)

I wish we had the opportunity to worry about such things. Summer seems to last a minuscule amount of time compared to Winter here (:

Now is certainly the time to get the work done before the heat of the summer.
