Thursdays Thought Part II

By

I have struggled the past couple of weeks maintaining my enthusiasm and positive attitude about Real Estate, business and life in general.  As a result, I have been pouring over anything positive that I have written down, or have access to read.  I was going through some of my business emails and found a thought that is appropriate not just now, but always.

It is by Malcom Forbes, and says:  "Ability will never catch up with the demand for it."

What great advice, now is the time that we need to really distinguish ourselves from the competiton.  There are still some great training seminars going on, books are more available than they have ever been, and we can just do a much better job at doing what we know that we should be doing.

The same email had another quote that illustrates that point.  "Successful people are successful because they form the habits of doing those things that failures don't like to do."~ Albert Gray

The two things that I quoted are really simple, we need to make ourselves more able in our chosen profession.  We can do that two ways, learning more, and doing what needs to be done.  Learning more can come from personal experience, modelling successful people, study, reading and attending seminars.

The really hard part is the second part, doing what needs to be done, doing what failures don't like to do.  Not only doing them, but doing them cheerfully and with the ability to accomplish our desired goals.  I guess that it can be pretty simple to do, but the key is to do it.  Anyway, just my final two cents for today.  Make it a Great Day!

i struggle a lot at times with keeping everything at an even keel. Perhaps when we work this hard in these times we can savor the easier times.

All my best

Darcy I think we are in the same boat.  Waking up with a smile and ready for all the garbage in and garbage out will help you deal with it.  Even if you don't mean it all that much, lol!  Just coping skills :hugs:

I love Albert Gray's quote. It's so true. If one doesn't like to do something that is necessary to one's business, perhaps it's time to hire someone to do it.
