21 Comments on Social Networking Workshop.
A local lender in our area had come to our office to host something similar it still boggles my mind how so many people out there dont know about social media.
We just had an amazing workshop with Mariana Wagner (queen of Colorado ar) and John Prescott! It was super. Check out Mariana on AR she does amazing stuff. I learn a lot watching her.
George - I'm on Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter too but have not had the time to participate and network on them as much as I would like. I know it's important to include as much social networking....but there are just so many hours in a day to focus on them all.
Sally I am finding that out more and more.
Heather, many Realtors and Loan Officers still seem to be afraid of this, and I can't understand why.
Marcus, thank you for that information.
Donna, it is something that we have to learn to manage, other than blogging on ActiveRain, the others do not seem to require a lot of time.
I agree. It's just another communication style, and if our consumer/customers are using it, we need to be "there", too.
George - It's a good example of how we can and should continue to learn, especially about social media, so we can do more in our business, more effectively. There is so much one can do but a limited number of hours. Understanding what works best for others is a big help in not wasting time just experimenting, although has some value as well. And see, you knew something she did not!
Jeff
George.. Since you were my mentor with ActiveRain.. how would you like to stop by and give me some pointers with LinkedIn. I just recently joined that, as well as Twitter.. but in both cases feel lost to moving around in these sites.
Li, I completely agree.
Jeff, we can all learn from each other, that is one of things that makes this form of communicating so valuable.
Valerie let me know when you are going to be in the office and I will try to stop by.
This is getting forwarded to friends. To many people I know don't understand this.
It is quite a trick keeping up with everything. I have had some success on Facebook -- and learning more and more about Linked In.... in the meantime, I have to show properties, write offers and have a life! This is a real balancing trick.
Dena, it is amazing how many people in this business do not realize how much this can add to their business.
Joan I have confidence in you that you can do it :)
George - These are always great events and also an opportunity to network offline. Spoken like a true Rainer, off course AR should be added to the lineup
Sounds like a good conference George. I bet you already have many of the skills discussed.
Jennifer I never miss a beat when I have a chance to mention ActiveRain.
Bill I do, but she is really familiar with Linkedin then I am, so it was worth while to be there and pick her brain a little bit.
Well Goerge, i am one of those guilty of not utilizing what is available to full capacity. THIS BLOG OF YOURS has helped me. I promise to get better.... Thanks for the boost!
Diane, maybe we can both get better at the same time :)
There is so much to learn about the different sites and they always come upwith new things. Thanks for the post.
Gita, yes it does seem that I keep on hearing about more and more sites, and do have to make choices.
George - there's a ton of stuff within social media to figure out even before we can start using these great tools to good effect, but I believe it's worth the effort. Until recently I had always thought a website was absolutely essential but couldn't break the code to get traffic to it. I'm still struggling with traffic, but I'm realizing that by implementing some sound social media strategies more traffic gets routed to my site - a nice spinoff.
Duncan, all we can do is try to use these tools the best way we know how, and hope that we get the desired results.
