15,000 square foot home inspected earlier in the weekBoy, I hate this time of year. After a rather sluggish start to the real estate home buying/selling season, the market is picking up and orders are coming in. Which leaves me in a dilemma, do I turn down jobs so that I can continue blogging or do I turn down blogging to make money? As we all know, the answer is really a no-brainer - Take the money and run silly boy... Thankfully, things are starting to pick up here in the Nashville, TN market place and sales are starting to hop which is a good thing for real estate agents and the other ancillary service providers.

As some of you may have noticed, I have not been blogging much here on ActiveRain lately because work has has been getting in the way of my blogging activities. Dang it! Between working on my business (my marketing efforts on full steam ahead) and the rewards of these efforts - jobs are coming in, and I am just too busy to blog. So despite the "Doom & Gloom" sooth sayers, not all areas of the country are in the throws of economic disaster. I guess my dilemma is a good problem to have...

Y'all have a G-r-r-r-reat day... - ;-)

Michael, that is some problem to have! Actually, my own business is heating up too. I wake up way to early, so I have blog time then. And I have been on floor time more than usual lately so that gives me blog time too, in between CMA's and other things. But, my time with blogging will go down as I get busier and busier. I do feel that it is important to my business, so I will just have to order a 28 hour day.

I am glad you are so busy!

Like you mentioned in your blog Michael, work comes first.

I've often wondered how successful ActiveRain would have been had it made its debut during the good times.

I'm glad to hear your region is doing well. Like Nashville, the Raleigh area, where I reside, didn't have those double digit home appreciations. So, we're not experiencing the market corrections like NY, CA, FL and some others have.

Good for you MIchael!!  I am glad to hear things are picking up for you (same thing here in WI!).  Of course I love your blogs, but business is WAY more important.  You go boy!

Hey Michael, I hope to make my Home Inspector. Tony a very busy man this year! I am happy for you that you are doing so well, but miss your blogs!

Good luck keeping up with demands, priorities will keep it in check. Things are picking up here in NY as well (my area is still reasonable and did not have such crazy price adjustments).

Nice to hear you have such a wonderful problem!  That's the kind of problem I love hearing about!  Keep up the good work and just peak in when you can and say Hi.

I have always struggled with the real estate roller coaster but you have to take it when it comes and as my mentor told me years ago (ENJOY THE DOWNTIME!!).

Money first, blog second.

My main inspector had 18 inspections last week. That is a lot for here!

What. . . you don't like "peanut butter and blog" sandwiches OR roast blog and mashed potatoes?  No brain-er, of course!

Micheal,

I think it is picking up here too. I have many pending inspections on the books, only problem is some involve banks who own houses having to do something to make the sales happen. We know what that means.

I think you'll find everyone is in the same boat.  In the 3 months I've been here, I've noticed the comment activity has definately decreased as the market heats up.  More blogging time???... Watch out what you ask for, or you just might get it.

I guess it takes a few minutes to inspect a home that big. Looks like at least 10,000 square ft.

Can't say I am busy with buyers, although there are a few out there, but I sure am busy with some very exciting things! Spread thin but loving it! Make hay while the sun shines Michael.

I like your slogan, hadn't noticed it before -

Large enough for excellent service   Small enough to CARE!

That's really good!

Oh, great! That things are picking up - don't watch news - things just feel better when you're in the "Dark" or "uninformed"!
