The Annenberg Foundation and The City of Santa Monica celebrate the opening of The Annenberg Community Beach House at Santa Monica State Beach this weekend.
The historic site, situated on the Santa Monica Beach (adjacent to the Pacific Coast Highway), includes an historic guest house from the former Marion Davies estate (she was the mistress of William Randolph Hearst - millionaire newspaper mogul).
The revitalized 5-acre beach faciity has undergone a $30-Million renovation and is open to the public, so no membership is required. The site includes a pool, tennis and volleyball courts, a splash pad and spaces for meetings and events.
