As promised, we are adding new tutorials ongoing about the variety of ways to use the private labeled RealBird Property Search service. For those of you who join this thread now, we suggest to take a look at the introduction post about the RealBird Property Search release and also the Earth Day search module confguration tutorial.
The ActiveRain Hit Router is a special advertising and visitor channeling utility on ActiveRain, which allows you to route visitors ( visitors and home buyers who are not logged in to AR) to your property search service. Every post and profile pages on AR have a textbox on the top that enables visitors to quickly search for properties without ever leaving the ActiveRain site. There are two types of search boxes; from your point of view: 1) One which shows up on your own blog posts and your own profile and 2) one which shows up on other AR member's post. As of the current ActiveRain service settings, you can route visitors on your own posts and profile for free to your own property search tools (My Market) and you can purchase traffic from the search boxes of other AR member's posts and profile.
For the sake of this tutorial, I am going to borrow some AR screenshots from Brad Andersohn's introduction post and will show how to configure Hit Router and the RealBird Property Search in less than 5 minutes.
