When I first signed up I only chose a city zip as my service area...and I only got a couple calls. I decided to expand my service area to a metro region and I got a few more calls. I found that I got more calls when I increased my service area and increased my price per call to make sure that I was at least one of the top3.

Another Hint: When you sign up for Ingenio Pay per call advertising, you can view how many competitors are in your same categories (ie how many other realtors are using pay per call advertising in your same service area). It also shows you how much they are bidding per phone call lead.

I'd be glad to help you out in any way. Mortgage services are probably one of the most popular Pay Per Call categories (lots of competitors). Some of the Mortgage categories (Home Loans, Mortgage refinancing, Mortgage debt consolidation, Equity Loans) have advertisers that are willing to pay $10-$20 per phone lead. But there are other mortgage categories (mortgage consultants, reverse mortgage lending, etc) that are in the $5 per phone lead range. Most of the Real Estate categories are only paying $2-$5 per call.
