What Makes a House a Home-Mattapoisett, MA
BY: Suzanne Sands
Last year, my family and I moved to Beautiful Mattapoisett! Born and raised in the city, living in this town has certainly given me the balanced lifestyle we all seek at some point in our lives.
On the weekends when my hubby's littlest one comes over, the first thing she wants to do is head to the beach! Morning, noon or night off to explore the beach which is just a walk down the end of our street. Swirly shells or sea glass there is an excitement evertime a new treasure is found!
We absolutely LOVE Mattapoisett! How lucky we are to have found this beautiful place we call home. Mattapoisett is a coastal town tucked away along the shoreline of Buzzards Bay.
Mattapoisett was named after the Wampanog Indians meaning "a place of resting." Mattapoisett is the perfect spot for those looking for a summer get away, without the hassle of Cape Cod traffic! Centrally located making it easy to commute to some of the hot spots such as Boston, Providence & Newport, RI.
Ned's Point Lighthouse located at the Veterans Memorial Park is a great place to have a picnic and spend the day with the family. Looking for a great place to stay overnight? The Mattapoisett Inn located in the quiant village, where you will find many historic homes.
Mattapoisett is celebrating its 150th Anniversary this year with festivities planned including a parade with floats, click here for the calendar of events.
Everyday, my family and I am reminded of why we LOVE this beautiful town of Mattapoisett!
This little pillow was a closing gift from a client I think it sums it quite nicely.
