Study done in  July 2008

According to this study there were 67 million people actively searching real estate.... people who either purchased or sold in the last 6 months so that would have been in the early part of 2008..or planning on buying or selling real estate in the next 6 months...another words 

61% were in the looking stages at the time...that is equivalent to 44 million people

Do you know what this tells me?

  • Court those contacts and stay in touch!

  • Turn contacts into prospect then buyers and sellers

  • Blog about your successful closings

  • Blog about your market conditions

  • Blog about the great deals out there!

  • Get Local

  • Be Yourself

Contact doesn't make them your customer..but courting them might!

Midori .. thanks for this article.  It's true that we need to court the contacts and stay in touch, turn contacts into prospective buyers and sellers, blog about our success and market conditions, tell everyone about the good buyer opportunities at real estate now, get local and be yourself.  That last one is the most challenging for me, and I am working on it.

Our challenge is to help them understand what they think they know. Some of them come to us with a case of information overload and need an expectation adjustment.

You are soooooo right. There are plenty of buyers out there. You just have to be well informed about the current issues in this market to win the confidence of consumers and you can't be afraid to shoot an email or make a phone call every now and then to show that you care.
