My wife and I packed up our two young girls this afternoon and did a little house shopping.

After what has seemed like an endless winter, my family has been suffering from a serious case of house coop.  The dark and rainy weekend we had here in Naperville wasn't helping.  We needed to get out...

We have been searching for homes online over the last month or so.  Today was the day we would see them on the inside...

I made a few quick calls, set up three appointments, and we were off to search for a home.  We would be seeing homes in Brookdale, Springhill and Hobson Village subdivisions.

It was nice.  It is always good for an agent to see homes.  Every home I see makes me a better Realtor....

It is especially fun seeing homes when you are considering a move.  My wife Nicole was pleased with what can be purchased these days in our price range...

The real estate market has changed here in Naperville.  Home prices have come down, and are more affordable than they have been in years.  Our goal is to be in a new home before the end of the year.

With the $8000 tax credit, lower real estate prices, as well as low mortgage rates, I am surpised more people are not sharing my families enthusiasm for a new home...

Ken...

Don't forget that the tax credit expires December 1, and not the 31! When you mentioned the end of the year I thought you might let it slip by. Good luck in your search.

Ken, I am happy to hear that you are out there shopping for a home and taking advantage of the stimulus plan, real estate new lower prices and low interest rate. We wish you lots of luck to find that good perfect home.

It is sad for those that can't do the same especially those that lost their home because now they have bad credit due  to having a forclosure and no work. I only wish some other plan would come out to help them to get another home.

Good luck with your home search! I am sure you will find that perfect home any day! I really like what you said "Every home I see makes me a better Realtor.... I feel the same way. We can learn from each other and see what changes and improvements will help us when working with buyers and sellers.

Have a great week.

Ken,

Buyers could still be uncertain about the economy and so they are still on the fence.  I agree with you my friend they should be out looking now.  There will not be a better time to buy.

Hi Don, Joeseph, Frank, Steve, Terrie, R+A, and Richard.  Thanks for reading.

Richard, you are correct.  Need to buy the home by 12/1/09.

I was a little surprised I was my only "client" looking on Sunday.

The Tracy's still have a lot of work to realize the American Dream, but we know where we are headed!

Thanks again everyone,

Ken

Ken take your time and find a good home.  As for the tax credit, it's peoples uncertainty of holding their job.  I really can't think of anything else.
