Pictures of Cool Things in Douglas County, Co

Does your brain sometimes feel like this? In knots and wound up. Need to unwind? I do. :)

I loke taking pictures so here are some I got while out and about in Douglas County, Colorado

all knotted up

Sunday evening  is turning to night and I am totally exhausted. Today has been extremely busy with two listing appointments and showing buyers around, writing an offer, handing out flyers... It's all good. I was planning to write something intelligent (ha ha) but my brain is not willing to cooperate. So instead of blabbering about something or another, here are a few shots from Douglas County and the foothills near Denver Colorado.

Hi Rita,

Very interesting photo's. Did you take these? What were yall doing out in the middle of nowhere? Is this where the listing was?

Shirley - lol, I was going to say glad to know I'm not alone, but I think that might not sound right :)

Greg - yes we take the pics. LOL we are in the middle of nowhere. Just kidding. About 10 -15 min drive from where we are. No listings there that I know of... but close enough.

Rita,

And why is this pole (or tree on the first photo) is so valuable that it is wrapped in barbed wire? This is to fend off thieves?

I love the second last shot. What is it? A rock formation? Beutiful shots, and congrats on a busy day. I always feel more productive the day after a steady, busy day :)

Rita- Those are very nice photos. Never on a Sunday I say. Whenever I have broken my word to not work on Sunday it has always backfired. I learned the hard way- you have to take a day off once a week, every week. For me it is Sunday because that is when I go to church and it makes sense to spend the rest of the day with family or helping others at church, that is my time to prepare for the week ahead, get things in order, cook meals up ahead of time, read and regroup. Make it an awesome week!

Hi Brian and Rita -- THe scenery is breathtaking.  Makes one realize where they fit into the overall scheme of things when you look at the vast expanse of the West.

So do tell, the brick structure looks sort of like a coke oven, but is too tall...not tall enough or round enough for a silo, and it looks like it has an oven entrance at the base....what are we looking at?

Rita, That is one valuable fence post. Around here the only barbed wire we tend to see is helping to keep our "guests of the State" inside. Rich

Interesting photos, Rita.  In case you didn't know that stuff at the top is called "bob war"!  :-)

At least that was how we said it down in Okla. and Tex.

I've had too many experiences with barbed wire from my Texas days. I was in pain after the first two pictures. Thank you for including some more pictures after them, and for not ending your post with barbed wire.
