Prospecting is wearing me out.  Day in...day out....planning....organizing.....set ups....Ahhhhhhhhhhh

For the week.........

  • Charity event at a local restaurant for one of local elementary schools at $50 a head
  • Women's golf tournament... $10,000 hole in one sponsor (all day in 90 degree heat)
  • Another elementary school carnival for 650 kids and their parents
  • Camp out in the neighborhood for over 500 dad and their kids (that's all day....all night...and half a day.....)
  • Elementary school #3 for 500 kids and also their parents

Somehow I made it to my brother's wedding in the middle of all of that.......and played in 2 hockey games.  OK, it's Sunday night and next week is a new week.  I am hearing agents whine and complain about the lack of business during this "rotten market".  What did they do last week?

Get out there and bust your tail and prospect.   I know 3 hours a day is the magical rule to prospect to be a top producer, but geez, this kind of prospecting is maddening.  Perhaps that rule was blown away last week, but this week looks like we will be back on the 3 hour target.  But then there is the next week.....Middle School all day function of over 1200 students.......then we are putting out 1500 flags for Memorial day, with 1500 post cards.   Rats, I forgot I have to get out 5 separate newspaper ads for 5 separate neighborhood newspapers next week.  I am about to scream!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the time to prospect until you are ready to scream......if you want to hang around for next year.

If you have buyers sitting on your door step, ignore this post.......

Tim,

I think you need a day off.  If you don't have the business it is certainly not because you aren't out there pitching.

No one can accuse you of not trying!  You are certainly laying the foundation for a very successful business.  I have to believe that you are pretty well branded in your neck of the woods.  It will all pay off.  As the song goes:  "I can sleep when I'm dead."

Hi Tim~ WOW!  I can't believe how much prospecting you are doing!  You are going to have more business than you can handle, and then you will have to share.....
