One of my favorite weekends is the taste of the beach. This year it falls on June 3rd and is usually a great weekend to hang out on one of our greatest natural assets. Estero island, aka Fort Myers Beach, the 7 mile long stretch of sand that borders our west coast along the gulf of Mexico. Local area restruants will be there to share the favorite dishes they prepare with the public. The beach will be crowded so get there early in the day. Don't forget to end your day with a trip to the Cottage, one of my favorite haunts, Sunday night is Karoke night and you'd be suprised at the talent they bring in. Oh there is the occasional tourist that will screech out a tune but when you see people carrying in thier own CD case, they are usaully really good.
