29 Comments on Perfect Practice Makes You The Best
Hi Gary-So very true. All I would add is Perfect practice makes perfect "performance" <SMILE>
Gary,
Short post, but Strong point...!!! Improving as we go should come naturally...!!! Thanks, Fran
P.S. I always describe myself as a 'practicing' Catholic...!!! :)
Great message.
Practice does make perfect!
Have a wonderful week.
Nice! You always hear 'practice makes perfect'... but its actually practicing perfectly that makes you perfect. You can practice something all day long... if its wrong to begin with, its wrong in the end.
I always tell Max this. Even the most gifted athlete practices every single day. The most gifted musician practices every single day. How else to stay on top?
After 20 years, I know for a fact I am still practicing and on many days, it is not the perfect practice like it should be.
You totally reminded me of a song my little sister used to sing "practice makes perfect, practice makes perfect, the longer I practice than better i'll be". Maybe this is popular in the music world (I wasn't in!), my sister used to practice piano & sing it ALL THE TIME! :D
Had you noticed I have been ignoring my guitar lately, or what?
Practicing real estate means doing our very best every day. That little girl has a ton of cuteness ! And I don't think she practiced to get to be a perfect example of cuteness :-)
Gary, I always appreciate your uplifting post and very suitable photographs! Practice does makes it perfect!
I've always wanted to play the piano, but lost a finger as a child, and never did as I was embarrassed as a child. You know how children can be somewhat mean to other children. But I am planning to take lessons, and will heed your advice...i shall be the Maestro.
What a little sweetie! If she's starting now, she's gonna be great when she grows up.
Gary: Sure, practice makes perfect. But... I know some agents who have been practicing so long... and they are still afraid to go on a listing. The best way to practice... is to just go out and do it. Then... reflect on your performance, and then go out and do it again. Take care...
Hi Gary,
Practice does make perfect..if you have read the Outliers 10,000 hours to be exact! Thanks for making this short but poignant point!
Just had that discussion last night with a client. How if you don't use it you lose it. You must keep the blade sharp by practice even when you feel you are well versed you must keep in constant tune up. Great thoughts!
So true, so true. Everyone is the maestro of their own performance, and with practice each performance improves.
Gary, in a word that is how you get to Carnegie Hall, practice, practice, practice!!
Gary - Same with sports... we play like we practice. Good tip for sales training... If you never practice your skills, they won't improve.
Gary - Practice not always makes us perfect, but it does allow us the satisfaction of knowing we've tried.
Practice makes perfect, but we have to learn from out mistakes. Nice here on AR, we get a chance to learn from other's mistakes.
