Security: Never open your home to a stranger. Never allow children or family member to show a home alone.

Preparation:

Exterior:

• Put up tools and toys

• Put garbage can in garage

• Close garage door

• Park cars on street or around corner

Interior:

• Clear off all counters and table tops

• Turn on all lights

• Open shades and curtains

• Put soft music on stereo

• Give the house a pleasant aroma

• Set dining room table

• Make all beds

• Set temperature at comfortable level

House and Community Information:

• Average utility bills cost

• Current property tax receipt

• Real Estate flyer

• Floor plan of home

• List of upgrades

• Map and/or list of community features

• Warranty information on appliances

income statements

children's photos, anything with their name or school info on it. (often lurking on the refrigerator)
