something's wrong here....meeting of the minds...NOT

Real Estate Agent

Here I am at 10:15 p.m. working on various items for our Business; adding, editing our web site; traipsing through the Rain; trying to figure out why I cannot save the 450 character description for our recently sponsored Localism area; & truly wondering if I am experiencing the fall out of a mystery that is wrapped in a conundrum that is locked within an enigma.

Big things all...the biggest, I thought, being the Real Estate spokesman- on New Construction- discussing the 'new trends being seen within the field'.
His items centered around the fact that in their area of New Construction they are finding Buyers who are looking for more actual living areas over up grades; usable spaces that are designed for families in this economic situation; looking for low down payments & available mortgages within their financial means.

That's good, Right---absolutely!
the spokesman went on to say that these Buyers were not looking for granite counters, but wanted more cost effective laminate or ???. & that they would rather spend their money on additional square footage.

Again, good, Right---you betcha'..
after discussing other lower up grade type choices now being made by new Buyers; he stated that with HUD mortgages falling within the 3-3.5% rate, these Buyers should be able to take advantage of his type Building company.

Once again, no problems here.
then, he went on to say that for those Buyers who were seeking the higher priced homes, up grades, locations &  the Builders who present these homes, that THEY will still be required to have 20% down payments.

So....what is the mystery, conundrum & enigma here.....IS  Not the above exactly what is needed in Real Estate at this moment in time.
..Are we not struggling to get out of an upside down attitude toward Home ownership.
..Should we not always direct, guide or steer the Client to purchase within their individual financial situation.
..Is it not a good thing that those- who misused, or misrepresented the reality of Home ownership desire with Home Ownership Rights- are now 'outed' the Profession / Related Professions

...Should we not delight in the 'learning curve' being expanded BACK to the past when if you couldn't afford  to buy a Home, you planned for, saved, & worked toward that purchase.
...Is there not room for further progress back to personal responsibility;

With all these deep thoughts on my mind, I took some printed pages from NAR up to my Partner, my Business Pro, my financial guru, my Husband, Sal to toss around some ideas on the subject.

I found him in his 'Captain's Quarters' or Den, chuckling over some program he was watching.
Knowing better, I still asked him what was so funny--he explained that this was "Repo..." and the 2 persons  talking to the woman dressed in a White suit--who looked so very professional to me- were actually Repo guys and the professional woman had missed making 3 payments on her new Lexus. I just had to ask why she was taking them into that House and he said  "...Well, she is the Real Estate Agent and they are tricking her into think that they are Clients....."

UNBELIEVABLE!   Even as I was leaving to come back down here to continue working, he actually asked me if I wanted him to tell me how it turned out..... NOT!
