Thus far, it's been raining the entire time I've been in Austin!  Granted, that's only 4 days, but still, it's 100% of the time!  It is so humid, my hair is sticking up on ends.  I feel all sticky!

The dog has been a nightmare because we don't want him in the house getting under our feet while we're unpacking, but it's all wet outside... we have a covered patio that he has made his home during the days.

We've been trying to get DirecTv set up, but after an hour at the house yesterday, the guy wimped out with all the lightning... I haven't watched TV in a week now.  What the heck is Swine Flu?  And why are pigs getting sick?  Is this like Mad Cow?  I tried Googling it, but I didn't readily see anything that actually says what it is.  How do people go without TV for this long?

I went grocery shopping last night at HEB.  Yikes, did I have sticker shock!  I decided to go to Walmart today to finish buying things I didn't want to pay HEB prices for... The freakin' Walmart is 14 miles away!!

I passed 2 Home Depots before I got to the WalMart.  What kind of place is this that allows two Home Depots within a spam of area where there aren't any WalMarts?

Did you try Target? you might be asking... There is a brand new Target right outside my community, but it's not a Super Target. The closest Super Target is about 25 minutes away as well as the closest Sams!

What have I gotten into??

The rain will stop in May and you will be wishing for it in September....  I love the rain.  You are in God's country.  Just chill and go to the Oasis and have a Margarita and enjoy the 20 mile views with Lake Travis below you. Can't get that in Big D........

Tim, I could sit in the Reunion Tower and see the entire city and then some... as long as you're ok with it spinning and you don't get dizzy!

Can I laugh??  Would that be rude?  I am sure it will stop raining soon.  We have had a lot of clouds today but no rain (do you miss us up North?).  Personally, I love the rain... of course, I love to sleep in the rain, so thats not very productive.  As far as you local stores, you probably just have not gotten use to your area yet.  There is probably a closer Walmart or SuperTarget... maybe.  And DirectTV??  Must be nice.

John, Laugh all you want!  No rain today, but there is rain in the forcast for the next 7 days!!  I did find a closer Walmart... it's 13 miles away instead of 14!!
