Well, I have broken down and decided on the ASUS 1000HE Net-book.

I have done my research and have read more than I can remember.  But both Amazon.com and some of the other computer network sites are reporting favorable reviews.  I also asked for the 1gb memory upgrade.

It boasts 9.5 hours of battery life - I am wondering how much trouble writing on Real Estate I will get into with this new device.

I know, because I work in the profession, that texting while driving is against the California Vehicle Code, but I am wondering if....  (I'm kidding)

I will keep you posted and I hope that I will have the time to comment more on some of the fantastic Active Rain posts I read by some of you very Talented Realtors, Lenders, vendors, and ActiveRain programmers.

Paris, I bought the same model and boosted it up to 2G memory. I also upgraded to XP Pro instead of the home version it came with. Great little machine but I'm not using it as much as I thought I would. Rich

Thanks Brother Richard, that is good to know.  I am going to try to use it.  But I understand your comment more than you know...  :-)  Have you run into issues with the shift key that everyone is speaking about?
