Hi Carol... Great picture.  The flowers look so pristine and untouched... all that's missing is a honey bee buzzing around!

Carol:  This is absolutely beautiful.  Ummm... what is it ?  LOL.  Alamance County has so many beautiful sights to see.  Thanks for sharing.  Hope you are well.

That is gorgeous but probably not a flower I know.   What is it?

Steve - There were a few bees buzzing around, but they were disturbed that I would want to take a photo of their 'turf'.  LOL  Thanks for the kind words!

Karen Anne - This is a large cluster of Lily of the Valley- au naturel.  And I am well, just exhausted.  3 more weeks...

Maureen - It's Lily of the Valley.  There is a lot of it in the arboretum at UNC.  In the 1950s there was even a perfume called Lily of the Valley.  Just in case you needed to know that.  LOL

Carol,

I had a home (in Lumberton, NJ) once with a carpet of Lily of the Valley between the house and the Rancocas Creek.  Thanks for the memory.

Morning Carol...I've never seen Lily of the Valley in bloom like this.  It's magnificent, it's also my Zodiac flower - which I will certainly appreciate more from now own...THANKS :-)

Mike - I was just in awe of what a display this cluster made.  Totally unexpected.  Memories are good!

Gail - Good morning!  Your zodiac flower, eh?   How uncanny is that?  It's a beautiful flower.  Must mean it's for a beautiful soul.  :)

Very pretty.  I don't know what my zodiac flower is, I'll have to look that up.

Sally - I thought so too, but it was just a cluster of the flowers hanging on the side of the bush.  I do think it would make one heck of a wedding bouquet though!

Chris - I'm not sure what my zodiac flower is either!  But I always remember lily of the valley being a 'grandma' flower - if that makes any sense.  LOL  Just looking at it made me wax nostalgic.

Carol - I looked it up.  I'm a hydrangea. What are you?

Chris - According to whatsyoursign.com I am the lavender:

If you are a lavender flower sign you freckle your landscape with beautiful ideas. You love to share these ideas with other people and get more new insights as you do so. You are expansive in your expressions, and you always seem to be able to find your muse. You are amazingly productive, creative and have an active mind. Sometimes you feel pulled in too many directions, but part of the lavender’s beauty is that it spreads itself far and wide for all to enjoy. See Gemini.

According to Teleflora I am a rose.  On the original site I looked at the rose is for October babies.  Guess it depends on where ya look!  LOL

Carol,
You do find the most beautiful "works of nature" to photograph.

This is simply amazing. It looks like a beautiful, au naturale wedding bouquet; something Liv Tyler would hold in Lord of the Rings perhaps.

Rich - When I saw these flowers it was kind of magical.  Seemed like a perfect formation, one that could be assumed to be 'created', but it was created by Mother Nature.  I think it would make an AWESOME bouquet, but the folks that run/maintain the arboretum would probably frown on me heading out there with a pair of pruning shears!  :)
